I want to thank Liz and Rachel for a wonderful time on Weds 21st Sept 2011, it was a great experience.
It was an enlightening, educational and totally enjoyable day. Both Liz and Rachel were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. An Orca Spirit Adventures whale watching tour is well worth the money and is highly recommended, we would definitely do it again if in Victoria.

We had a whale of a time!
Yesterday afternoon (19th August) we were lucky enough to go whale watching and I can truly say we weren’t disappointed. We travelled on the zodiac boat which was fun and exhilarating as we raced along the water, with speeds up to 50mph. Both myself and my mum get affected a bit by travel sickness but we were both fine and we’re so happy it didn’t let it stop us!
We set off at 1pm and were told by our friendly captain Rodrigo that we had to travel for about 50 minutes to get to the whales. During this time we sat back and enjoyed the scenery with the stunning mountains and also the great weather!
After an hour or so, we started heading towards Saturna Island (a Canadian island) where other whale watching boats were scattered. We slowed down and suddenly about 300metres away, I spotted three dorsal fins. We were so thrilled and excited- we’d finally reached the killer whales! And it wasn’t just one pod, it was all three - a super pod!! We couldn’t believe it- up to 88 whales beneath us. We just gazed in amazement as we got closer to them and we saw about six come up at a time, showing off their nine metre bodies; it really was incredible. We even saw two young killer whales leap out of the water and spin in the air before splashing back down, which was breathtaking.
Our final glimpse of them was when they were moving off into the distance, continuing on their journey to the salmon. It was such an amazing experience and without doubt I’d recommend it to anyone. Being English, we can also get to say we’ve been to America as we passed through the boarder on our trip. It’s definitely a highlight of our holiday that I’m sure we will remember for the rest of our lives!

Hello Orca Spirit crew,

On June 9 of this year I boarded on one of your whale watching tours. What seemed to become a tour without any sightings turned out to be very good. We spotted two orcas. A brother and sister who were hunting for breakfast.
